A Proactive Model for Intrusion Detection Using Image Representation of Network Flows

Today's article comes from the IEEE Access journal. The authors are Saeed et al., from the National University of Sciences and Technology, in Pakistan. In this paper they present a non-traditional approach to intrusion detection. Rather than analyzing the raw packets going across the network, they built a tool that converts the packet-data to images and then applies computer-vision techniques to visually detect the attacks.
