Today's article comes from Cogent Engineering. The authors are Bhargavi et al., from the Gokaraju Rangaraju Institute of Engineering and Technology, in Hyderabad India. It was partially funded by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. This paper attempts to build and improve on existing Earthquake Early Warning (EEW) technology. The authors have attempted to train neural network that can predict both the magnitude and affected area of imminent earthquakes, and rapidly visualize the impact zones. Let's see if they were able to pull it off.
