Today's article comes from the International Journal of Educational Technology in Higher Education. The authors are Yu et al., from Central China Normal University. In this paper they explore whether LLMs are acting as cognitive "equalizers", or a cognitive "amplifiers". That is: are they democratizing access to the highest levels of creative and analytical thinking? Or are they just amplifying our existing strengths and weaknesses?
