Robot Control Platform for Multimodal Interactions with Humans Based on ChatGPT

Today's article comes from the journal of Applied Science. The authors are Qu et al., from the Paris-Panthéon-Assas University in France. In this paper the researchers took an aging robot called Pepper and integrated new conversational features into its interface via an LLM. For this episode we'll be focusing on the system-design and architecture of their solution, as well as the hurdles they had to overcome during their build.
