The Future of Last-Mile Delivery: Lifecycle Environmental and Economic Impacts of Drone-Truck Parallel Systems

Today's article comes from the journal of Drones. The authors are Bao et al., from the Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, in China. In this paper they offer a glimpse of how delivery companies could operate a fleet of trucks and drones simultaneously. This (they argue), would allow these companies to deliver all of their packages more quickly, more cost-effectively, and with a smaller carbon-footprint.
