Traffic Classification in Software-Defined Networking Using Genetic Programming Tools

Today's article comes from the journal of Future Internet. The authors are Margariti et al., from the University of Ioannina, in Greece. In this paper they show how ISPs (Internet Service Providers) can use Genetic Programming techniques to classify web traffic even when the TCP packets are encrypted. This research is both a notable application of GP, and an important warning to anyone who is concerned about internet privacy.
